Ravelin favorite, Telfar, has come a long way: From Liberia to New York to a CFDA award — too far to have a revoked license stop his party that celebrated both the designer and his designing the nationwide White Castle uniforms. A press release from the designer describes the license being pulled at the very last minute. “We offered to increase security by 100 guards to cancel our surprise performer, to cancel all performances, to cancel all liquor, to move the event by several months to allow them to prepare. They said our event could not take place at any time under any circumstances. There’s no point for speculation and no need for conspiracy. We know the story. it’s not the story we wanted to tell — but it’s the truth and there’s power in it.”

Nevertheless, the party persists. It’s now at “The Well” (272 Meserole Street) from 6-10pm.
